One of the hardest things about public accounting is learning how to make it work for you. Some days are better than others. Some days it just sucks. But, if you stick with it, seek out good mentors and be open to trying new experiences, you find your path. You also have to learn how to say “No”. Counselors and mentors should be able to help you figure this part out. You also have to take time off and disconnect. Planning vacations and working with your teams to make sure you get that time off is critical.
