Hi Fishes, I have been offered by Cognizant Consulting to move to UK for a short term. However I have my permanent braces treatment going on in India. Can anyone guide if Cognizant Consulting (UK) covers dental treatment in insurance. Can anyone also let me know how much does braces treatment cost in London? Cognizant

I wouldn’t want you as a friend.
Because it does not pay for itself if you don’t travel or dine out a lot, especially CSR. Sure the annual fee is only effectively $100 bucks (with all the credits), but getting 1% back or 1.5% if used in the chase portal is not that competitive. Tons of cards beat that with a $0 annual fee. This is coming from someone with CSR
Well that was my main caveat, you didn’t mention that upfront. But an example is you can get 2% cash back on everything with Citi, a much better and simpler deal for certain types of spending habits

If you don’t eat out or travel much (as most of my non-consulting friends don’t), then there are better options out there! But for those who do, I agree with you. I think chase is slipping though in value, at least for me.
If you were a real friend, you would have tried to convince them to spend less and invest more instead of choosing this or that credit card to accumulate rewards that will never make them rich.
This is coming from a guy who had 15 cards through his life (Including MasterCard BlackCard, Amex platinum, etc.). I closed 13 of them and Kept only 2 of them open - 1 for bills and 1 for ad-hoc expenses. My balances are always $0. Credit cards are overrated. Focus your energy or saving and investing instead.

Depends on spending habits to be worth it, but agree Chase is based af.
I live across from a Whole Foods and we're in a pandemic where Amazon has everything. You KNOW I got that CAP instead of CSR.
5% back on almost everything I purchase has been great.

Are you talking about the Amazon Rewards card that gives you 5%? That’s what I got and it’s awesome, but don’t know what CAP is
The chase combo is the most lucrative for travel. If you’re at a stage of life where you’re not traveling as much (sad i know), you might be more interested in a combo of cards that gives you the most cash back.
I’m getting between 2.62% and 7.5% on literally everything by using a rotation of cards. BofA, Us bank, citi, chase, etc. Even better, you should be able to get $500-$1000 per sign up bonus, which you can then yolo into some high beta bets like TQQQ or Cure or crypto. Disclaimer that i wasn’t prescient enough to be doing this over the years (but in hindsight i could be up tens of thousands right now just from this alone lol), and i loved maximizing chase points, but now with marriage and puppy and baby soon we just don’t travel as much.
Plus we can still take the trips that we want via sign up bonuses and leftover points and whatever i may gain if consultants start traveling again.
