How to quit on good terms without burning bridge? And how do I not disclose my new employer without make my manager feel like I’m hiding it from him? What if he kept asking? What do I say?

It happens all the time. Give your two weeks notice in person first (or over video if remote) to your boss, and tell them that you decided to pursue a new opportunity outside of your company and that you will do everything within your power to ensure a successful transition during your last two weeks. If they keep asking, just say that you wish to keep the details of your new position private at this time.

Anyone here from EY GDS CBS service line?
I had joined here with the hope that I will be getting proper exposure to clients. Here I am attending meetings with EY employees within India only from different teams.
Didn't know that the technology service line is this bad.
Folks, are there any proper exit opportunities here?

Are you also losing talent in your GMS teams (which offices are you in)? Struggling a little here to keep talent. Hoping the new owners @CD&R don’t freak out with the talent leaving especially at senior associate levels but also critical director levels.

Ok need some advice-I’ve been at my firm for 8 months supporting the same attorney since day 1. About 3 weeks ago a new associate started and I’m her main support also. I want to get her something for Christmas but I know very little about her lol. She’s in her late 20’s, very stylish, single. I also don’t know what a good amount to spend is. For reference we are in a suburb of Syracuse, NY, we represent school districts and my salary is $42,000/yr. Any tips would be awesome!!

Any good wedding ring sources aside from Blue Nile?

Graduated from Babson College (MA, US) in 2014. Became passionate about the tech industry during my SY. Came back home (I don’t live in the US) and worked for a family member for four years (non-tech). Left in 2018, started working on my first startup (TravelTech). Shelved in March 2020 due to Covid. Huge pivot - started working on my second startup (DeliveryTech). Failed, wrong market.

What’s my next move? I’m thinking about grad school + working in the US post graduation. Cheers!

Is there any interesting exit ops for someone from Markets Operations? I’ve been in operations for 5 years, most of that time in a Prime Brokerage Market risk support team and now moved into risk and settlements space. My roles have all been very analytical, strategic and excel modelling heavy. Any one have any ideas of interesting exit ops? Open to anything really - just struggling to find a viable exit.

On LinkedIn, all the resume and industry switching gurus talk about adding value, numbers, and results to your resume. Left my first job after just shy of two years because I was bored. Have been at my current job for about half a year and it’s a great resume builder but an absolute horror story (long hours, unreasonable clients, tons of weekend work that’s not worth the pay). If I left in a few months, at the 10 month mark, would that significantly hurt my chances of getting a strong exit opportunity? I can’t imagine staying here for the full year but I don’t want to blow my chances at leaving for a cool job
