+1 to what Retail Manager 1 said, just apply. Some companies are going to want receptionist experience, but others will understand that your cashier skillset will translate to a receptionist role and be willing to give you a shot. It's all a numbers game, just keep submitting those applications and something will pan out!

Just apply to jobs and see how it goes. Do some brainstorming about the skills you have that would be transferable. And apply to companies you think you'd like to work for. You can usually find job listings on their web sites, in the careers section.

Being in a customer service role and getting that experience really does open up a lot of doors. I would focus and highlight that when talking to another company, I always explain that I am eager to learn and pride myself on being a hard worker. That is always a valuable skill!

I to have years of experience as a cashier working in retail and basic office skills and computer skills and would love to work in an office setting. If a company would just give me the opportunity to show them what I can do. But unfortunately I live in a very small town with not a lot of job opportunities. Especially if you’re actively trying to make the transition . So you are not alone.

Hello,
I want to apply for a waiter position so anyone can assist me

I would talk to your manager and ask how you can move your way up the career path. The best thing you can do if you are wanting to move up the career path is directly ask your manager what you can do to get there. If they are a good manager then they will help you.

You are basically a receptionist already you answer a phone everyday now just be professional. I'm sure utube has some video on professional manners working a front desk receptionist for the type of business your applying to. Or maybe try volunteer work before you apply get hands on experience. I'm sure no one will turn you down to volunteer for no pay for experience purposes. Just my thoughts I was a receptionist for years.

You already are wellon your way, sometimes it's really about be able to pivot adjust and remain teachable. So give you, your flowers 💐 for progress, in the light of all the health wealth and happiness 😊. Sales is simply numbers to calculator or cashier, however to elevate that to reception of guest relations, you first need to know your audience, with the amenities the property has available, as well as facility's services in mind. Now given the critical discussion of interdepartmental communication is for the operations to flows smoothly for reception or client relations role, for your sake was ideally efficient. So you would provide the evolution of a sale, to which we navigate an experience that highlights resources amenities and information that through process 🤔 of leading questions we allow the client 😉 to feel good but empowered. Now, this allows to client to have both confidence in the brand with a sense of freedom of accessibility. The ball's in your court, your mission transforms to attention to detail with subtle confirmation of amenities and services reviewed in a good manner. Sometimes it is the small memorable moments that resonate the most impact, whether that is something as simple as remembering a name, acknowledged a birthday, or suggesting a restaurant for a special dinner. You successfully nurtured a relationship that translate a task in joy that not only was productive, yet it also can and will matriculated into retention to go onto experienced base marketing. All in a fine days work of attentive multi-tasking under the assumption that you are the expert regarding any all travel weather and entertainment vendor or establishment in your county community and neighborhood; at times it's flattering to be held in such high esteem, because the truth is not ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES, sometimes they just wear a name tag, actively listen, and effiently deliver hospitality while letting their personality shine through. 😉

I am the junior attorney at a small PI firm (5 lawyers). I love my job and my firm, the partners, and my colleagues.

I have another opportunity that is important to me, so I'm planning to step away.

I have maybe 10-15 lit cases that I'm "responsible" for. Some of them are tar babies that I know the partners and my colleagues would hate taking over, but I don't think I'm willing to wait for resolution on them either. Thoughts?

Really confused what to look for, can be a fair fit for any of the profiles- would love to be a Data scientist - it deals with NLP, advance statistics and analytics etc but Data Scientist as fresher?

Application dev YOE -1.5, completed PG program in Data Science, new to it. Should I try for Data analyst first?
