Networking always helps - do you have any clients you might be able to talk to? Industries don’t seem to matter much- it’s more about size of company to have entry level roles (smaller companies may not have the same accommodations for junior levels, but bigger companies may have too many applicants to be noticed - hence any network would help.
I would generally advise to aim for less well known companies and industries - big Pharma or CPG may sound sexy, but something like dentistry tends to be less appealing and less well known.
These are great advice thank you!
I tried reaching out to clients that I have worked with, but unfortunately, they are all impacted by their company's internal restructure.. so I am reaching out to their recruiters and mentioned that I have previously worked with their teams, hopefully that will give me some credit.
I think it really depends on what you can bring to the table should you become PMM. What exactly are you doing as a B2B creative strategist, what’s your focus? PMM responsibilities vary based on company, size, etc.
be my guest but I am a PMM and I am telling you dont bother!!! the market is saturated with PMMs and you will be crushed by unfair competiton. I went out with a group of new PMMs they are certified and they come from different sales and product backgrounds. I felt really insecure about it even though I have been a PMM for a decade now!
