I have not seen that NO. However,I have seen alot of bait and switch once accepting the offer. Not sure what you mean by pretty bare. I never take a verbal offer, it must always be in writing before I accept. My question would be if in your 1st position you were grossly underpaid why take even less $$ with a new offer. Working from home is not always the cats meow, there is even more micromanagement from home. They literally count your key strokes etc

Example search terms on this platform, LinkedIn, X, Blind, Reddit, and others is “ offer rescinded” and “offer rescinded after negotiation” for a sampling of others’ experiences.
