I am a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney in Las Vegas, NV. Born and raised here. I hate it now. I can’t stand the heat or the ugly landscape. My family and I want to go somewhere beautiful and green that draws you outdoors. The only problem is that the Las Vegas PI market is bustling and money is great. Juries here tend to be liberal with verdicts. What are some other really hot markets for PI, but not temperature?

My firm does both PI and class action work in Colorado. Can’t get enough of it here. Denver juries are pretty good. Federal bench is not very friendly, at least in my class action experience. I think our bad faith attorneys do okay there though.

Federal bench is bad for Plaintiffs everywhere. Haha.

Cook county in Chicago is fairly plaintiff friendly, however there’s a lot of lawyers here and the market is pretty competitive. Chicago is an amazing place to live.

Hi all,
I have 3.9 years of experience in tcs. Last year i was selected in DCA exam and started receiving elevated incentives. This year i was wrongly given C band and because of that my incentives are now paused. But the thing is my compensation letter still says my ctc is 8lpa. But in my salary slips I'm not receiving according to ctc. Currently I'm serving notice period and told the other company that my ctc is 8lpa. Will there be any issue on bgv when i join next company?

Help me ask for a raise in my upcoming performance review? In sum, my company’s HQ is in Texas and I feel I’m being paid a Texas wage when I live in Los Angeles (the role is remote). We do have a San Francisco office and I want to ask my boss to match me what staff are making there. As that’s more comparable. Based off of Glassdoor, my salary matches Texas’s exactly and SF has the same role at 10k more. Should I show him the Glassdoor page? Don’t want to come off too strong. Please advise

Questions about job hopping-
My average tenure at a company is ~1.5 years (with ~11 YOE), but each jump I've made has yielded progressive/tangible career growth.

I'm concerned after my most recent jump (went from a product director to a head of product position at a different, smaller company after only a year) that I've kind of poisoned future career prospects at larger companies.

Any insights on whether this type of job hopping is a complete deal breaker for potential HMs?

From consulting to investing / lending - anyone has guidance on how to make the move? I’m a consulting manager with finance experience pre-MBA. Thinking about pivoting into investing / lending but struggle to find an angle - assumed that it would be hard to break into investing but lending would be great (all the way from corporate banking to mezz). Any guidance on seeking relevant experience while in consulting?

Most of the projects I've taken on, I've done so as a way to support others without taking much credit for it. Now, a better opportunity came along and I don't have anything to show for my talent as a designer. ALWAYS take credit for what you do, even if it's not your project to begin with.
