I began interviewing with a company last month. I went through phone screening, hiring manager, cognitive test, VP, and peer interviews. I moved forward and got to the offer stage yesterday. The salary was lower than I expected. I called the recruiter today to try to negotiate an extra $10k. HR approved. Later, HR called me to say I need to retake the cognitive test. My score was “good” but they wanted me to try to do better. Getting the job depends on it. Is this because I asked for $10k more?
