I currently have a Chase Sapphire Preferred (my only personal credit card). Thinking of getting a United Explorer Card for the 70K miles. Doing home improvement work and will def be able to meet the minimum expense limit. Worth it to get this card? Better off getting something else?

Why not chase sapphire reserve?

like

I have the reserve but am wondering if it’s even worth it given all the travel restrictions and nonsense.

Or Amex Plat (assuming you're not looking to rack up the revolving debt for funsies)?

Apply for an American Express Card with this link. We can both get rewarded if you're approved! http://refer.amex.us/DANIECJgcb?XL=MIACP

What airport lounge access? I got turned away in LA?

I think in terms of the United card - do you want the 70k united miles? Do you fly United a lot and how much do you value the benefits of the card (eg free baggage, priority boarding, the United club passes, etc)? If not, would probably be more worth it to try a something like an Amex gold/plat - gives you more flexibility and general benefits

Has anyone moved from a H/MCOL city to a small town or rural area? Any regrets in regards to career progression, networking, or lack thereof? I'm thinking of making the move this winter in order to cut my housing expense by more than half and to put my daughter in better Catholic school. My employer doesn't care where we live so long as we can get to an airport. I grew up in a small town, so it wouldn't be a shock to me, just worried about how it may affect my career trajectory.

I haven’t been able to get preg since. (Contd in comments)
