Some networks limit how big a raise you can get moving laterally within the network. You should investigate if you’d even qualify for the HUGE salary increase. They might cap you increase at 10-15%
Sounds promising and tempting. But I’ll leave you one piece of thought:
The bigger they earn, the easier they lay off.
You will have to get your current supervisor to approve allowing you to apply for the job. The other IPG agency isn’t even allowed to interview you without this approval. If you don’t get the job, your supervisor will know you want to leave. Tread carefully.
Yes to FCB 1, you don’t need approval to apply.

The increase is prob because the people that were laid off are being replaced with one person. Apply, and ask the VP to refer you. Is the scope of work really the same?
Yes, I do everything in the job description and more. It’s technically entry level (Coordinator) and they are looking for someone with just a couple of years of agency experience. I’ve been at my current one for nearly 4 years.
Adding to CD1’s insight above, the dust won’t be settling on the merger’s employee transition for at least 4 months and odds are the role will be filled by a predetermined merger transfer anyway. It’s not worth the risk.

Depends on the department but totally possible. Chaos breeds opportunity
Maybe in some industries. Usually in advertising chaos only brings layoffs.
