I was with cbiz before. Going into KPMG is unbelievably better than CBIZ. Dm for referral and happy to answer any questions

like

If you have a referral, it takes about 4-6 weeks for the entire process. Sometimes sooner if they have an onboarding session lined up with when you receive an offer. But they have 2-3 rounds of interviews depending on the position. Then background check and other HR processing steps.

like

Yes, please. I currently work at real estate, but I am open to other opportunities.

Couple weeks for interviews + background check time interviews depends on availability of interviewers mostly but timeline can be shorter if you tell them you’re interviewing elsewhere and need to speed things up. Would think about applying now and asking for a sign on for the rest of your bonus (they may give you more). May be better to get acclimated to new firm before busy season instead of coming in right at busy season.

Boutique or big 4?

I'm currently an ops manager at a big 4 in London and received an offer from a small boutique firm with 25-30% pay rise.

I'm also in the process with Accenture but I feel like I'm not sure if I'd jump just for the money but also change in environment.
What type of things would you be asking yourself if you were in my shoes and debating to jump ship?

Serious question: do I *need* MBB on my resume to have good exit ops from consulting? I have an M7 MBA, but struggled to land interviews because I didn’t have big brands on my resume (confirmed by recruiters). I wouldn’t be surprised if most/all F100 and FAANG hired MBB only.

💲For those who DON'T think a six figure salary is possible:

👉Just ask for it. Really, you would be surprised. Might be easier to switch to a new company and ask. I did that 3 years into my career.

And 🛑 wasting your time at a company that under-values you severely. Sometimes switching companies every 2 years or so will allow you to keep raising the bar for yourself.

I have my final interview for a recruiting position at a well known company. Are there any questions I should be prepared for or be prepared to ask? It is a remote position and I’ve had 2 previous interviews. The manager who I will work for said he likes me and definitely want to move forward but I just have to get through this last interview so I really want to make a good impression and pass.

Curious about thoughts on on discount points (I think I’ve already read every article on Google). I am refinancing my personal residence (future rental) as well as a rental property. The mortgage brokers discourage me from spending a ton on points (rolled in, not up front). In some cases, it’s a 16 year break even. I get that’s a very long time to break even, but I have no intention of getting rid of the properties and doubt rates will drop much below current. Max breakeven point for you?

Hello Fishes,

I have got my L2 Dependent Visa stamped for the US through the Wife's organization and she has booked the tickets for the both of us in the next weekend. I am currently unallocated in TCS and seeking projects in the same US location as my Wife. Can I travel to the US just like that and then continue my search within TCS from there or do I need any approvals to even fly in the first place?

I am worried because of the time crunch and will be glad to hear some points on this.
