Dog owners: any thoughts on how to accommodate a new puppy into the consulting lifestyle (about me: I don’t travel, have a SO that works less than me to share responsibility with but they cannot WFH)
I know we all love the work from home (or do we?) but does anyone actually miss traveling for their consulting engagements and all the fun that goes along with it? The late nights at the office then the bar and random hookups and excitement and all that? Sure it’s a grind but I think I actually miss it too. Maybe I just miss seeing people at work or seeing people at all. I wonder if we’ll ever get back to that.
Been WFH for a year and was recently told I'm rolling off soon. Fuck me if I have to go back on the road. 😕
A partner called me from SF to NYC to discuss the deck for a client meeting on Wednesday. He just 'forgot' to tell me he's working remote for today and tomorrow..bitch!
I recently got a puppy but have avoided telling people at work out of fear they will assume I’m not really working when I’m WFH if I have a puppy. Am I being irrational?
I really want to get a puppy given WFH currently, but nervous about pulling the trigger given that we are likely returning to travel at some point in 2021. I’m single and live by myself, so worried about what the pups lifestyle would look like if I returned to travel 1-3 days a week (knowing that 3-days per week is certainly not fair to the dog). How have others thought about this? I’ve raised 4 dogs growing up, so I’m well aware of what it takes from a training / attention standpoint.
WFH has had me barefoot at home pretty much all day except when I go to run errands every now and then for 1-2 hours. My feet are not used to being back in shoes for 8+ hours a day. Had my feet all messed up hurting and veins popping every where. Should I get new shoes? Any tips? TIA
Thoughts on asking to WFH 1 day a week for the beginning month or 2 of getting a newborn puppy? 🐶
Fox extends work from home directive until June 15. What happened to reopening America? Is there some reason Fox is not rushing everyone back to tbe office? https://view.newsletters.cnn.com/messages/1589255019557fb9e68a2ebe7/raw
The stock market is at a record high and billionaire wealth is up 36% in the pandemic. A remote employee who lives a few miles from Disney World said there's a line of cars outside his house right now. Turns out there's a drive-thru food bank that starts 7.5 miles away.
I currently WFH. However I expect that we will return to the office by summer or fall. I live 1.5 miles away from work, but I don’t have a car. I want to avoid buying a car if possible. What are the best ways to get to work. I live in the city so biking is a little too dangerous for me. Any ideas?
I love WFH. My am office.
If you have the "freedom" and "liberty" to protest about being able to go out. Then I have the "freedom" and "liberty" to stay home, WFH and not be a Guinea pig to your kind of crazy.
30 mins flight. 20 mins waiting at remote bay to find a gate at ORD. PS: This app is great to vent out 🌬🌬
WFH is not a vacation!!!!! Just emailed a junior associate to call me whenever she could so we could discuss something. It’s been 2 hours. Radio silence. I’m not going to be chasing her (...)
Quarantine diaries: 1st week - phew. Glad they’re letting us WFH 2nd - work is dwindling why why 3rd - I’m gonna be fired 4th - I’m DEFINITELY gonna be fired 5th - Dead Inside What’s yours? I can’t
My boyfriend is on unemployment. I’m getting seriously irritated by him playing video games from noon to 4am while I WFH. He’s also being perpetually happy and I need advice on how not to kill him.
Wow…covid is really over. I live in a rural area where we knew covid was happening but it never really impacted the community or daily life. However when I’d go into the city it was very very obvious there were huge life impacts and fear. I just went into the city for the first time in about 3 months and it’s like covid never happened. It makes me wonder how many other things that have drastically changed (like wfh and hand sanitizer) will go back to normal as people go back to normal.
How many of you ladies own sex toys? Is it really that common? Kinda want to get one while I wfh but hesitant 😩 also any (cheap) suggestions are appreciated ❤️

The team I used to work with is hiring. They’re great. Consultants w/ 3-5 years of good performance and knowledge of SQL fit the profile. https://careers.google.com/jobs#t=sq&q=j&li=20&l=false&j=Sales%20tools&jcoid=7c8c6665-81cf-4e11-8fc9-ec1d6a69120c&jcoid=e43afd0d-d215-45db-a154-5386c9036525
Does anyone know anything about Workday? Would specializing in it too early hurt exit opportunities later on, assuming this is functional HCM or finance workday consulting?
said no to extra work ... did I mess it up?
Deloitte folks - how does our basic vision coverage work outside of the plan you pay for. Getting an eye exam at warby Parker which takes no insurance but can get reimbursed possibly.
Thoughts on Parthenon-EY? And if you have insight into Health Strategy specifically, that would be great.
