TCS is the worst company one can be in.
Cheap mindset management cares more about timesheet, wfo, forceful mandatory trainings, imposing strict restrictions on laptop, access to personal docs only via vpn,no employee well being no salary hikes nth at all.90% projects filled with freshers coz they cost less.No WLB for good dedicated hard working employees as they are punished with more and more work, leaves rewards mostly for people who don’t work. But no issues kyunki job security hai 😂

From one former executive assistant to another, the only thing people will “find out” is that you are a talented go-getter with drive and style. Wave that former maid, janitor and assistant flag proudly, your roots gave your strong branches.
Congratulations on all your success. You definitely earned it and BELONG where you are! Therapy would do wonders to help you realize how qualified you truly are.
There are so many people that don’t try hard and coast their way up the ladder. Can I just say, I’d 10000x rather have you leading my team. Don’t ever forget that.
I’m jaw-droppingly impressed by this, and you should be too. Self-compassion is a wonderful thing, and it sounds like you more than deserve your success, since it wasn’t handed to you on a platter.
I’m an executive assistant and hoping to go for what you have now :) don’t give up and keep inspiring people!
You have to shift your focus. You chose to focus on the starting point but didn't spend as many words describing the transformation process (taking a few design courses, 2 years later), you minimized your hard work which is something you do to yourself. As someone who read that statement, you are a hard worker who is harder on yourself than you should be.
The easiest way to check this is to replace your name with anybody else's name. Your name is Jennifer (for example), switch it with Karen or whatever other name and read the statement back to yourself and you will view it differently as an outsider. This is guaranteed, trust me.
Also, just because it's a lot of money doesn't mean you don't deserve it.
You are not an imposter you are literally the American dream personified.
You worked hard to be where you are. It’s clear you are humble and will put in the work. Pray on it and/or seek therapy to help you stop these types of intruding thoughts.
This is actually a story you should really own. You can inspire and encourage many by your life experience.
Listen to the A-List Podcast. It is affirming to hear the humble origin stories of some of the best creatives in the business (not all but quite a few). Your story would outshine many :)
It took me a long time to realize that what we think are our weaknesses are our greatest strengths. Lean into it. Be proud of it.

I would talk and about take pride in those roots. It shows you have grit, determination and most obviously talent to go from where you were to where you are now. Nothing was handed to you as it often is for people in this industry with connections / from good schools.
Be proud you actually make something and have a skill, even if you learned the technical know how from free online tutorials you must be pretty decent if you moved up that quickly. The longer you are in this industry the more you may realize only 30% of the people can actually create things, the rest are hoping it turns out great.
Wow this is incredible & absolutely inspiring! You should be proud of yourself 👏🏽👏🏽
Wow that’s amazing
Inspiring story! Anxiety can ruin your enjoyment of everything including success. I know this to be true from personal experience. Imposter syndrome has a name because it’s a real thing.
What makes you think you are an absolute fake? Did you lie on your resume?
You’re not an imposter. You’ve been there two years and got promoted. Someone recognized your skills.
I worked…. In a pizza place (all positions kitchen, pies, delivery), bartended, construction, paving driveways, a local basketball facility, a mutual fund group, a place where I mounted packaged and shipped photoshopped artwork for an online company, and then finally am office job running folders around, also I went to school for art and design
And now, I’m a VP of account services. Go f**king figure. You are already there, you’re not an imposter. WHERE you start does not determine WHO you are when you’re finished
