I’ve truly never worked anywhere nicer than EY. People are magnitudes more respectful to eachother than in a lot of industry firms.
Agreed! I left a few months ago, but it seemed very pretentious and fake. And I definitely saw some pretty bad culture
100%. If anything, there's so much talking behind your back.
If you are not happy, say it to my face. Stop trying to act supportive when you really aren't

My experience has been the same. There are pockets of amazing people but it never lasts (people depart, projects switch, etc.).
Yes. This is exactly how I feel as well. A few good people seem to hold some teams together but when they quit or move to a new project things quickly go off the rails until you get lucky and get on another good project/team.
Having worked at mutiple other consulting megashops, the culture at EY and EYP is refreshing from a "respect for others" perspective. And it trickles down to how I treat my team members.
However, we need to improve our direct feedback culture and have more apetitite for constructive criticism
