I feel that I’m paying the price of having chosen safety over ambition. Making the “sensible”decision, I moved to small city in the Midwest instead of trying to pursue my career in a diverse and interesting place. And after so many years here, I feel stuck, and extremely frustrated. With each winter the feeling of depression, and sadness gets worse.I regret deeply having moved to this part of the country. I want to get out but my family seem to be happy here and I’m torn. How can start a change?

Do side projects to get noticed. I went from $80k to $300k in 5 years from 2 side projects.

Secondly, don’t theorize about opportunities, it’s not really an option until it is. Do said side projects and once you get chances at jobs in other cities, with salary estimates, then is when you discuss it with a partner. Might be hard to turn down a huge jump in pay in NYC if it’s legit an option on the table.

Hi Fishies. Im 31 yrs old,spouse 33 yrs old. We are going with IVF due to male factor. Today we got PGT results from CCRM Boston. Among 7 embryos, 5 came normal. 1- 5AA(male), 1-5AA(female),1-4BB(tier2,female),1-4AA(tier1,female), 1-4AA(tier 1, male). What is the best embryo among them? This is my first IVF. And little nervous as well. What could be the reasons if the embryo is not implanted ? Is it something with to do with me? Do we need to do anything from our side, like acupuncture ?

Phone addiction. I truly feel like I have one now and I hate it. Is anyone feeling the same or possibly improved your phone addition? I am constantly on my phone and my usage is averaging 5.5 hours per day. I wake up to my phone and it's the last thing I see before bed. I manage 2 physician practices and one is extremely toxic. To the point the dr sides with staff even when I am trying to make corrective actions when patient care is in jeopardy. There’s no reason you have to put up with a job you hate. I spent many years working in a toxic environment with a boss who gossiped and lead through fear. He wasn’t really much of a leader but basically a foreman. And he could make my existence miserable. I admit that it wasn’t easy to find another job but the bottom line is: trust your guts. If you feel something is wrong it’s because it probably is. Don’t second guess yourself. Look for options and and fight for your mental health.
