Hey everyone, I got a call from Deloitte recruiting on Wednesday of last week discussing salary requirements and location. They told me that the team really liked me and that they were going to work on an offer. I got a call on Friday saying one group has approved the offer but they are waiting on others. I haven’t heard much since then. Should I be worried? How much longer will I have to wait?
Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.

Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

I think that's really good advice. I end up being my own worst enemy when it comes to negotiating because I talk myself out of what I'm worth. And I don't stick up for myself.
There's some very good material in that article, I'm definitely saving it to my Google Keep. I particularly like the idea of saying "Correct me if I'm wrong..." when getting into the numbers. I've always felt like I'm flying blind in those situations, and finding ways to probe what's available is useful information.
The only thing that we don’t know, here is the mix of men to women. Because men will in general negotiate more than women, but unfortunately women still end up with lower salaries than men.
These are definitely strategies to be aware of and the more information you have the better of a choice that you’ll make when it comes to the salary.

I like the phrasing. Especially the tips about being intentional about how you phrase the ask and how you time it!
