Anyone from EYP…I’m applying to “Strategy & Transactions Working Capital Consultant/Senior”. I have the experience, six sigma, PMP etc stated in the description. How can I proactively position myself to earn the interview? I’m afraid I might get auto rejected because I have way more than 2 years experience, but I know industry experience is weighted different. Appreciate any help, insight, or anyone willing to chat. How many days in a week are you visiting office?
Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

Oh awesome!! I love floats! I would say (for me at least) float therapy is more of a mental thing. It’s going into basically a sensory deprivation tank with highly salinities water (salty) that will make you more boyant and float! It should give you a weightless feeling. The ones I’ve done, the tank in dark, but you could option to have some soft light in it, and option to have music or not. I don’t. Basically you should have a very relaxing womb-like experience that just lets your mind be free. It takes a few moment to kind of let go of your thoughts, but you hopefully feel refreshed when your done. My husband says he almost has a hallucinatory type experience of seeing colors and shapes and space and such (and no, he doesn’t go in high or anything. It’s just why his brain does when there’s nothing else to focus on). I wouldn’t say it does anything beneficial for your skin though. If anything it dries it out and you need to shower and lotion up after your done. If they don’t supply this for you I would get a swim cap and some water friendly earplugs and just enjoy. I hope you like it and it brings you some relaxation!
I float twice a month. Significant benefits to my excema and mood (especially in winter).
Take a hairdryer if you have long hair and they don’t supply. Many places supply a small spray bottle of clean water in the tank if you accidentally get salt in your eyes. If not, I’d recommend soaking one of the supplied towels and leaving it just outside the tank just in case you need to wipe your face.
If it’s legal in your area you might get an enhanced meditation/relaxation from half a thc gummy, but wouldn’t recommend if you’re new to weed or prone to anxiety. The affect is stronger in the tank and after for me.
Oh wow! I had no clue about that kind of skin benefit. That is good to know. Thank you!
Oh wow, thanks to you both. I am very excited for this now. She must have intuited some stress that I had not even really opened up to her about. Good to know about the skin.
Omg I have yet to try float therapy, pretty sure my claustrophobia would kick in fast enough for me to get out before getting the benefit haha...but I've heard it's amazing to get you in the right place mentally!
Pro tip: don't shave on the day you're doing float therapy. I wasn't advised on this beforehand and I had to learn the hard way.
They don't allow people who recently dyed their hair or have bright colored hair to take the treatment. I think the chemicals would make a mess of it, so take that in mind.
I am jealous.
Love floating. If you have any kind of cut or abrasion be sure to cover with petroleum jelly or it will sting.
Reading all the comments above and I am convinced to try this too. Thank you all! You have been so helpful.
I have tried it once and I loved it. My sister convinced me. Will definitely do it again.
Use it! It is worth it. My sleep got better and reduced my anxiety.
It looks so interesting and it must feel amazing during and afterwards, but I'm just a little too claustrophobic to try it. I would be doing a lot more panicking than relaxing in there.
I've tries it before, and I was told not to take any stimulants or drink any caffeinated drinks at least 6 hours prior to the procedure. It really helped with my anxiety and insomnia.
Taking float therapy regularly has really improved and reduced the appearance of cellulite. It's also really good for cleansing your skin and getting rid of pollutants in your pores and even for your hair.
What is float therapy? I never actually heard of it. Now, I'm intrigued. Where do I go for a float therapy?
It's my first-time hearing this so I went in and researched. So, you're going to be placed in a dark sensory-deprived tank? That sounds so cool!
I don't think floating therapy specifically targets skin improvement. But my skin did feel soft afterwards, I think it's because of the saltwater.
Not that I can notice. But it did help address my tension headaches and insomnia. It's just a wonderful experience. I'm glad I was able to discover this therapy.
I went through this therapy because I read that it helps with depression and anxiety. That's all I had in mind. However, I think it improved my skin condition, I have psoriasis. It was due to the exposure of Epsom salt.
I actually haven't tried it yet. What does it do to your skin? If I can read a lot of good reviews here I might be able to convince myself to avail one too.
