Haven't heard about the firm but what's your opportunity for growth there? What is the timeline for manager promotion? Do you want to stay in public accounting long-term? If not, you're probably better off staying at EY and then jumping to industry.
Its an accounting consulting firm so no more audit. I’m over auditing i’ve been “senior” for the last year because of turnover. I would probably want to get at least 2-3 years of experience in advisory and then jump ship to an industry job. I’ve seen CFGI, Connor Group, CrossCountry consulting and the dreaded Siegfried but a recruiter reached out about this one. Apparently they are growing pretty quickly and have about 250 employees at the moment, just not sure if it will hurt my future going to what seems like a non-existent accounting consulting firm since no one knows about it.
If you want advisory, can you do advisory in EY or other big 4? If industry is your end destination, big 4 advisory on your resume is way better than a firm noone has heard of.
Industry is the end goal at this point. So basically name recognition is what counts? I feel like i’ll be working with small-midsize companies and learn a lot more than at FAAS where i’d be put on a lot bigger jobs, but I could be wrong.
I feel like since I already have EY on my resume it has to count for something right?
I would go to a midsize advisory firm, you will learn more, you already have the big 4 name on your resume…
