My father passed away last week. I had wills written up for him, he has a small c corp, and we don’t live in a community property state. Mom’s still with us, fortunately.
Besides informing social security, filing a life insurance claim, getting a death certificate, flagging his credit card, and starting the probate process, is there anything else I need to do immediately (in a financial/regulatory sense)?
I’ve been following the guide here: https://www.reddit.com/r/personalfinance/wiki/death_of_loved_one/ but others guidance is always appreciated.

Intentionally keeping a balance on a 20+% cc is never the right answer.
Do you not have any other credit cards? I would just get a regular credit card as a safety net, payoff current card with cash, and immediately start saving for an emergency fund.
You’ll still have the open line of credit when you pay it off so if you need the money later you can just charge the card. Not sure it’s worth paying 26% when you have the cash.
Sorry for the confusion. It's a CareCredit card, so I won't be able to charge the card and the cash will be gone
Got to agree with PC1 here. You’ll take 3.5k hit to hold on to what sounds like 7k of cash? When you start earning (or even while you’re on LTD) go to a credit union and get a personal line of credit or low interest card. My CU’s is 13.5% ish. The credit is then there if you need it and you don’t pay a 50% penalty on 7k. If you’re still at Deloitte and have decent credit you should be able to get 3-5k of credit no problem with two full paystubs.
