I have a friend who works for ASML as an engineer and from the sounds of it, it's a really great job.

I don't have any engineering degree I studied informatics without loving programming however I love tech in general. I work the last 3 years in sales and customer service related roles. Are there any positions I could apply for in ASML ? I would also prefer to be able to travel if possible. Thoughts? I have heard he can refer me to the company too.

Anyone know of an alternative to StackOverflow for asking tech questions? The community is super toxic and I'm looking for a place I can casually ask questions that might seem dumb without being hrangued for not providing an essay proof of the research I've already done. Or some sort of buddy system where I can ping a person of relevant experience those questions. It's better to poke someone's brain for a minute than to spin in circles reading docs/dead end articles sometimes.

My company blames my generation for not being able to hire everyday. “You guys don’t want to work” coming from some overweight, racist, old coaster. I’ve barely taken any days off this year and pick up “skeleton crew” days any chance I get. I was able to work out a deal with my company before I came because of prior experience luckily, but they offer a terrible base salary and sham of a commission structure to new hires + no remote. Then sit here and can’t figure out why…
