I have a year in b4 fdd and about 10 months in audit. Is this too soon to leave public? Talked to a few recruiters and no one seems to understand what fdd is. Any advice for navigating that?

Recruiters don't even know what audit is lol. Apply on your own and you'll have better luck.

Pretty much every recruiter knows what audit is even if they don’t know what we do.

If your title is still associate, then yes, it’s still too early.

You want to leave fdd??? Man, I know so many people in audit who would take a 50% pay cut just to be in fdd

They actually can’t go back to audit now since audit isn’t hiring at the B4, and the pay difference isn’t that much anymore.

I get paid more than everyone who switched from my group in 2021 now, because they all were either let go or jumped to a senior level job in industry and haven’t been promoted.

I’m in audit now. I was one of the unfortunates that got laid off in 23.

i was in BDO 9 months. This time is big lay off for every big frims. Well. Now i am in a local small firm , actually i feel good. Just half year , i leaned alot than in big firm. I recommend ho small firm to try to learn. After that go change to big firm

Does anyone know about the IAAP diploma in IFRS?

IAAP is an awarding body in UK.

My doubt is, does the value of the certificate of IFRS change depending on the Institution?

Will a person who cleared IFRS from IAAP have same value as a person who cleared IFRS from ACCA?

Thanks in advance

Recently accepted a temp role as an HR admin for a former employer. Previously interned there & left because my supervisor did not have any growth opportunities planned out for me; this was in spite of my stellar performance, as reflected in my 90 day review. She has since left the company, but there’s crazy turnover in the company & in the HR department in particular. Just that an HR coordinator resigned. Is it worth going back into a dumpster fire w/ no leadership to gain experience?

EY Deloitte PwC people - would you leave your current employer for a 15%-25% total comp difference? This translates to a 25-45k difference per annum, largely driven by bonus at the new firm (20-40%), much smaller than my current employer. Doesn’t feel like a great exit opportunity - currently at big 4 this would be moving to a niche consulting company
