I have been having a physical relationship with my manager since the last 6 months. He had promised a promotion, but has been giving excuses lately. I want to switch companies now, but I think I have formed an attachment with him. I am confused with what to do next.

Do managers tend to make a scene while you put your papers?

My natural instinct is to assume rejection if I have conflict with a partner or don’t think my feelings are reciprocated. Hello, I’m an associate (almost at the one year mark) at a midsize firm on the EPL team. I did about 2 years of employment law as a clerk during school and know that’s what I want to go into. I’ve asked for more EPL work but keep catching PI cases. I second-chaired an employment trial but don’t see any EPL work for the foreseeable future and wasn’t getting as much EPL exposure as I wanted before the trial. Any advice on a lateral move to a bigger firm with a broader range of EPL work?

Tips for doing a first stock pitch? I have a good grasp on what the company actually does, business risks, main competitors. How much do I talk about valuation, and what should I really be mentioning or focusing on here?

I have an offer accepted from Elevance 125k (Anthem) and w a good team and seems that WLB would be ok. Also, Amazon hiring manager wants to interview me for a job. Is just a hiring manager int. so obvi nothing guaranteed. Salary if offered will be more than 150k. My question is should I accept the interview and see where it goes? Is it really worth it to proceed with a company like Amazon for 25k+. I live in CA so $ is imp but I do have a toddler so WLB is also imp. Both role are Sr. MGR.
