Is this role based in the US? or in the UK? If it's based in the US, you will need to establish that you can be employed in the US. This is for tax reasons too. Did this come up during the interview? Do you have the EB-1 visa yet? You should probably have applied for this before going through the interview process. Even though you may be eligible does not mean you will be approved.
Thank you @Counsel1 for explaining Apple’s need.
- It’s US based at their Sunnyvale office.
- They are going to start the 1-1 interview process now with rest of team.
- I was approached/reached out directly by the person hiring.
- I don’t have a EB-1 visa. As a previous Indian national prior to getting British citizenship, are my chances slim with the current quota for EB-1? I have the next call on 30th.
- Any advice if I should start EB-1 process and share progress on the call. Very much a newbie on US EB-1 /contract based immigration issues despite having family in CA for last 30 years 😳
