I have CFP but see need for more managed account in my practice. Would it be wise to get CIMA (Certified Investment Management Analyst) to obtain more knowledge and skills? Thank you.

Designations don’t necessarily mean you’ll better understand managed accounts. Try the AIF - easy to get and helps with the investment acumen.

Your question is interesting; you are assuming that there is a correlation with a designation rather than a correlation with a choice followed by a recommendation . Your fee based AUM is more correlated toward your belief structure and value proposition rather than your title or accumulation of titles.
If you believe in a recurring revenue model, own that. Good question, I think you’re on the right track because you’re obviously trying to improve yourself.

CPWA

Are you charging for advice and consulting?
You could lower your AUM cost and charge your planning fee, that would more than make up for it.
CPWA or CIMA are quality designations.

Thank you everyone. Five years in. Have been ineffective in and scared of gathering AUM, knowing that I am ill prepared to perform for my clients. If I don’t learn through study, what is the best or any alternative way to prepare. I surely need your advice to start the engine.
Thank you again .

Get out of these shit IT corporate world.

Start preparing for SSC CGL(mainly target this exam). There are a hell lot of opportunities if you clear this exam and these jobs provides a lot of job respect in the society.
Even if the salary is 60-70k (starting salary) but the job security and the facilities are simply incomparable with the IT jobs.

Don't waste your time & energy in the ruthless labor market just for money.
