Company A sounds much better - less hassle, better fit, and superior brand
Seems like you know what to do. But to spell out priority in your situation better immigration services = less anxiety and more peace of mind. Fellow 5th year H1 here.
Sigh!! Unfortunately!! I had to turn down amazing opportunities because of this.
..for handling the H1B visa situation in the 6th year.
The hiring manager at A absolutely loves me & we vibed very well. At B, I am entering into a new domain, role and competency but it’ll be huge growth.
On the other hand, A seems to have better work life balance and I’m trying to date and find someone to settle with in the next year or two. At B, I’m working with offshore teams and seems like I’ll be on calls 11 am to 10pm.
I’m inclined towards A but I feel like I am missing out on such a great role at B. Needs some neutral analysis of the situation because most of my friends are leaning towards A (mainly cuz of the brand)
Have you had explicit conversations about h1b with both companies?
With Company A - yes. Their immigration team is well aware of the timeline and they are ok to take me in and apply green card. Company B - are supportive of h1b, discussing the immigration details with them today.
