I have Joined Tata Cons for package of 14 six mnths before. That time i do have offer from Mindtree ,IBM and 3 more companies. None of them are ready to provide me more than 13.5. And that time it was a good package.But now people with even just 3 yrs of experience are getting package of 20-25lpa.I dont know seriously what is happening in market. Thinking to make one more switch.but having a fear of mass firing in future. Becoz i know the market trend before covid. Will market stay like this forever or it will turn back

Thoughts on “special” salary grades. I just found out the VP I was offered is not a grade 12 like most comparable roles (verified). Also not an 11, but an 11A. Slightly higher than an 11, a good bit lower than a 12. All due to the fact that it’s a leap from my current position. Why should that matter…..shouldn’t it pay what it should pay if I am selected, rather that curving down towards my current rate?

If minimum wage is increased to $15 dollars, what else do you think will be affected? Do you think other salaries will increase, do you think there will be a jump in prices, or will there be no changes besides less people in poverty?

Have an offer from a dream company but I'll need to go in at a lower level. Knowing that I can bring a lot of value to the company (read- I know my worth), I negotiated with the hiring manager to have a level/comp review 6 months after employment. If I hit all my goals (ie, prove myself) within that time frame, I'll get a promotion and salary adjustment.
QUESTIONS:
Should this be in writing in the offer letter?
How detailed should it be? I assume I won't know what goals to set till I start...

Interviewed for McK today and my parents (who I’ve tried to explain the importance of these interviews to) burst into my room in the middle asking me to do a task, right in front of the interviewer, and spent a minute arguing with me when I said I couldn’t. I gave an interview at TCS last Monday for Project Manager role. The hiring manager directly called me and scheduled the interview as I had reached out to one of their posts through LinkedIn. Post that I got a call from TCS asking me to register on ibegin portal and confirm which I did. But I still haven't got any call/mail from HR on the feedback of the interview or further rounds. By when should I expect a feedback from HR if I am shortlisted or not?
