I’m having a super hard time finding a job in pharma R&D, all the jobs available seem to be analytical - I have 4 years experience working in a lab (3yrs at a CRO & 1yr working as an associate scientist on a drug product development team). I got an offer for a senior research associate ($60k) but I currently am an associate scientist in MD making $75k. Do R&D pharma jobs exist in the Denver/Boulder area? I work for a late stage(ipo) start up, earlier this year we were acquired & since then they got rid of our yearly bonuses and gave us an ESOP grant.
2 RIFs later we are almost bare bones. Since we are coming up on our usual yearly evaluations many of us assumed (with multiple conversation from our managers) that pay raises and promotions were due.

I recently discovered pay band information given to me by the HR generalist I'm working with on hiring was outdated and updated bands had been released over the summer (prior to my hire date). Got an offer for SE III at a large tech company. Product I'd be working on interests me and I think I could grow more than in my current role.

Currently I make 180k base and have ISO/RSUs @ startup (60k/yr worth on paper, but won't be worth anything for a few years, if at all).

The offer is:
Base: $166,500
Target Bonus: 10% ($16,650)
RSU: 120k total (30k/yr)

Thoughts on offer? Should I counter?
