I haven’t even graduated yet and I’m realizing dealing with clients is by far the worst part of this job. What career options could I consider where I don’t have to deal with owners directly?

I work in a sanctuary, in this job you only deal with exotic animals but it really seems that they talk to you and tell you what they have, my work is wonderful and here you don't deal with the owners, the animals are free.

like

Working in a zoo can be an option, you do not deal with owners but with the people who work in the zoo, it will allow you to meet many types of animals and grow as a professional. It may not be the best place in the world for animal rights, but being there you can ensure that their rights are respected.

Animal shelters are not characterized by good pay, but they are characterized by how happy we veterinarians are in this environment, only what is best for the animal friend is done, care is provided to the letter and you can easily see how you save a life or more, daily.

like

Veterinary technician or assistant may be a better fit for you. You can still work with animals but you will not have to deal with clients as much.

One option could be to become a research veterinarian. You would be working with scientists and researching various animal diseases.

As a veterinarian? The best that comes to mind right now would be to work at a lab. You wouldn't have to deal with clients face to face, and you would still be working in the field you like.

I work in a lab and love it. Regular hours, I primarily work alone, and the pay is amazing.

Shelters, labs, food supply, zoos. Lots of options out there for not dealing with clients. I agree with you completely; they are the worst.

Currently going to school for my cannabis certification but I rarely see any jobs that offer cannabis research. I currently work in a lab/greenhouse environment and would love to continue that line of work with hemp/cannabis. Yet again no luck whatsoever, just finding jobs as budtenders or running a dispensary. Does anyone know where I can find research-based cannabis jobs? I have a degree in horticulture with lab experience.

Within my first year of Consulting, really struggling with the hours amongst other things. Spoken to a couple of people internally and the advice is to get on to projects with bigger budgets and therefore bigger teams/more support. I want to wait until I hit the one year mark before making a decision on whether Consulting is for me or not. Curious to hear from other experienced hires..how is/was your first year?

I currently work in Private (GA) Aviation & have for some time (about 12 years) I’m currently making the switch to the Department of Aviation and am unsure if I should ditch my current job (in private) and go full force with the DOA & embrace this new opportunity educationally and gather as much experience as I can or keep both jobs even though I’d be working 80hr weeks.. I love the private world but am really ready to move up. I don’t know what I should do. Any suggestions?

On the topic of intimacy with partners… I’ve been with my boyfriend for 2 years and the past year his libido has dropped to zero. Mostly due to work stress (he says). Whenever I try to initiate, he always shuts me down and says he’s not in the mood. I even touch him and he gets hard but stops me as soon as I try to unzip him. We went from once a week to maybe once a quarter.

I’ve talked to him about it and he says I should take care of myself. So frustrated. 😭😭
