Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?

Apply to other jobs while waiting
Don’t overthink it, they are just disorganized internally and the recruiter mistakenly made a verbal commitment before they were supposed to.
It may not be a total (intentional) scam. But it is a huge red flag, and you should be wary + keep applying, even after you start the job, until you get a sense for how dysfunctional they really are.
I briefly worked for them in the past (different function/team) and they were actually really organized internally. That’s why I’m really confused about the delay in approval. They said my start date was pushed back to 10/1 to align with Q4 and that I should receive the offer by last week. I never received it and when I texted the recruiter, he said he is at the hospital with his partner but would check and get back to me but he never did.

I might just tell the recruiter another recruiter (name them) gave a verbal offer and you’re waiting for it in writing. Recruiters talk, maybe this could put pressure on them…or if this recruiter is really interested in you he might investigate further for you.
That’s a good idea! I actually have a call with a different recruiter (same agency) to chat about a different role so definitely worth mentioning it then
