I interviewed with a place months ago that ghosted me. The recruiter emailed me on Friday that their first choice turned down their offer, so she will be sending me an offer next week. Part of me is offended that she told me that I was their sloppy seconds choice. The other half of me is laughing because they ghosted me for so long that I started a new job elsewhere last week.

Dear Recruiter,
Enjoy going back to square one and reposting the job because I don't want it either. bye bye.

lol don’t you love it when you can tell an employer F you, especially after they tried to play you.

Get the offer and see it and the start date then ghost them. That would burn a bridge by the look on Recruiters and HR would be priceless.

Oooh, I love this response.

Listen to their offer and if it's not as good as what you're making now tell them you're making a lot more and if they could match it you'll be good with it. I guess now you're holding the cards so this is where you could ask them to sweeten the pie

Hi everyone,
One of my friends, he made a switch just 6 months back hoping he would get a better work environment a better package, but now he is just frustrated with the working environment, being a backend developer he has been asked to just fix bugs for almost 5 months now and that too in javascript without any KTs or any other trainings when he clearly did mention in the interview that he does not have prior knowledge on javascript.

What should he do? Any suggestions?

If an employee mentions something disparaging or accusatory about their manager during an exit interview, how would you handle? What happens if what the employee said is slanderous and a “he said/she said” situation? I.e. employee claimed the manager made a disparaging remark about an item of clothing being worn by someone in accordance with their beliefs. If you opt to share the feedback with the manager, would the manager have a legal case against the company or former employee?

What would you do? It’s literally the second week of school for me, I have my 3rd interview for the job next week

Hey all, transitioned from the military last spring and got a UX product manager position at a bank.

Pay is good, but missing the mission aspect of work. Have interview offers from Microsoft and Amazon for cleared PM work, but most of them are less product manager work and more adjacent program work.

This might just be grass is greener thinking, but would love to hear if you have made the transition if you enjoy cleared PM work or do you wish you stayed in the non-cleared space?

Jr. Associate at an AmLaw 100 firm in Central Florida. Good credentials; top 10% at T14, law review. Sick of private practice bc of hours and pressure. Also, not enjoying the work that Central Florida offers, but want to live here.

I want to one day have my own firm. Trying to think outside the box on how to get the experience w/o being in big law for ten years.

Thinking of applying to be an ASA and to the FL AGO. Would like trial experience or civil rights/con law work.

Thoughts appreciated!
