I interviewed with UnitedHealth Group last week. How long should I expect it to take to hear back from them?

I applied in August. First interview was in October. Second interview was in December and my last interview was in January for a February start. Someone was on leave and they were waiting on them to get back to talk to me. Other people have interviewed and gotten an offer that same day. It just depends on a lot of things.

I would say if you don't hear back in a week, follow up. If you dont' hear back a week after that, I would probably assume it is time to move on. Not that they won't reach out later but best to keep moving forward.

I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up. Emailed me an hour later stating that he got super busy and couldn’t attend, and would like to reschedule. This is a major red flag, but I can’t help but feel that I am missing out since this role pays 50% over what I currently make. Should I let the recruiter know? What’s your take on this?

Hi guys need some advice on job offer -

Applying for Senior I
-Big 4 $90K plus bonus
-A top 10 firm $95k plus bonus

The HR from the top 10 firm said they have more WLB than big 4. But I think Big 4 has more opportunities than smaller firms. Which one should I choose? Thank you guys.

After you moved in-house, how did you get more comfortable reviewing contracts or counseling on issues you weren’t super familiar with? I was very specialized at my law firm and took a similarly specialized role in-house….but I still get requests to mark-up types of agreements that I never touched at my firm. I’ve been trying to find CLEs to get up to speed, but I’m wondering if this is generally something that gets more comfortable with time…

Hi all! Is anyone here in Underwriting? Just want some thoughts on this as i’ve recently gotten an offer for an Underwriting Associate position and have never done any salary negotiations before. Does it seem unrealistic for my counter offer to be 12k more than the original offer? Considering that the original offer is roughly 8k less than the market salary. Plus i’m also accounting for wiggle room as i’m not expecting them to actually agree with the full 12k counter offer

I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!
