I joined MAANG as a product manager working on an internal tooling team from a small startup and am really underwhelmed. Folks are making 200k+ but folks are lazy, a feature that would have took 10 days at a startup is taking my first 5 months, managers aren’t leaders that develop their people and set a bold vision, and there’s little to no motivation from the team to be great and do great work.

Curious if anyone else has had underwhelming experiences going into MAANG.

With product design questions, I struggle to identify user groups. Once I do everything starts flowing and I’m confident. But the initial identification of user groups is something I find challenging. What’s your go-to way of doing this?
