I joined the Accenture grad program with 2 years of full time experience (I was studying for my MSc while working) and very extensive volunteer experience, and all my feedback is great so far. I'm worried when looking at promotions they won't consider any past experience and I'll be stuck as an analyst for a very long time without even being considered for promotion. I've now been at ACN a year and am doing my MBA - I don't want to be at level 11 for another 2 years! Advice?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

After a year using my home office setup, especially the 27 inch monitor, how can I ever go back to the traveling life with tiny laptop screen? 😔

However, tech consulting is definitely not my dream job. I want to get into data analytics, and I have an offer from a big company to do just that. I’ve only been at my current company for about 8 months, but I don’t ever see myself loving this job. How do I know when it’s time to make a change?
