I just applied to Salesforce for a BDR role. I don't have a Bachelor's but I have more than two years of BDR experience at Paychex as well as an Associates Degree in Business Admin. I personally messaged a recruiter on LinkedIn about my values and why I want to work for Salesforce. No response. Anyone else apply or those of you that work there, what are your tips for breaking in?

I’m being offered a role as systems engineer (feels more like a sales engineer) in the energy industry.

The interviewer said to me to add 30% on my current salary and ask for that. Now I’m asking for £97k. Reasonable?

Has anyone had any experience interviewing with Meta for any Administrative Partner roles? I have a interview Tuesday from 1pm to 3:15pm with 4 leaders. Each leader gets 30 mins. I am nervous. I am very confident of what I am bringing to the table. It’s a remote position and I know the job market for EA is flooding. Does anyone have any pointers? What’s the work life balance like? Can a company find out if you start to work for another company? Also, is it really a conflict of interest if you work for both companies in the same position, but the companies are in a different field (e.g. pharmaceutical and social media)?

Does your job email a bunch of hoorah emails congratulating reps on sales? It just becomes a bit annoying and demotivating especially when it’s the same person at times.

Has anyone worked in Sales at Samsara? I’m being interviewed for a Mid-Market position and the OTE is 170K which seems a bit low. The recruiter said most mid-market reps are making well into 200K with stock options and what not, with some top performers getting to 300K. Is this realistic because I’m not seeing that on glassdoor at all. I’m also interviewing with several other companies for similar positions targeting 220K with bases around 110K. I’m not sure I can go back to a base under 100K.

My quota is based on invoiced sales that resets quarterly. This includes a sliding-scale commission % based on how far you’re at on your quarterly goal (towards quota) which is checked/paid once a month. The only thing that goes toward our quota is PAID sales. This excludes orders still being processed by DE (largest orders) and customers still within NET payment terms. We don’t get paid until the company gets paid. Am I missing warning potential? Am I being expected of A and judged on B?
