I just got my first job in industry coming from B4 audit and I’ll be working directly under the Controller of a small private company (as a Manager). Should I ask him hours expectations? Looking for any tips on how to transition from billable hours to back office. I want to do a good job and have a lot to learn, but I also don’t want to set the precedent I’ll work crazy hours.

Big4 has clear trajectory and interesting work.

Should you discuss salary range with an internal company recruiter prior to setting up an interview? With external recruiters it’s pretty easy to talk about the expected range. I am trying to avoid wasting all of our time if i get to the last interview and they are expecting a salary that is too low for me.

Gave my 2-week notice and Partner has asked me stay an extra 3 days to wrap up a project that I know will be a very long 3 days... I don’t really want to do it but also am afraid of burning bridge. I said yes to the Partner but now kind of regret it. This job has made me sacrifice my health and I don’t want to work those extra 3 days. I wonder what’s the best way to tell them.
