I just moved to London two months ago. I'm from the states and here to help a family member out for a while. The city is awesome, but I'm having a hard time making connections. I work remotely, so that doesn't help. How do you make friends in London?

What are parents paying for baby sitters these days? Wife and I going out tonight for about 3-4 hours and have a local college student babysitting our toddler daughter tonight. Low-medium cost of living city and daughter will be asleep for most of the time. We’re thinking $15-20 per hour and make sure there are plenty of snacks around. Appropriate?

HELP! 30+ years of teaching Sped and I’m at a loss. 6th grade student in Middle School with Doose syndrome. Prior to MS, the elementary said he never caused problems. Since the 1st day, he is disruptive in class, refuses to work, and is disrespectful. He has a one-on-one para but she is in tears most days because of his behavior. Parents agreed with a behavior plan - he thinks it’s a game. Parents say he is not allowed to be this way at home.

Getting over heartbreak and having a full time job is torture lol. My boyfriend and I just broke up after almost a year of being together. still there’s not a single good word spoken for me from her side. we do not have any understanding between us, i come from a conservative middle class family, even though i earn well and life is not difficult for me, i live way below my belt.
She and her family has threatened me and my family, that if things don’t fix between us then i will have to bear the consequences, they are rich and wealthy, they will implicate fake legal case against me and my family.

My natural instinct is to assume rejection if I have conflict with a partner or don’t think my feelings are reciprocated. I’ll try to bring it up with them, but I’ll say “if you want to end this feel free” so it doesn’t hurt me (and they can say what they really mean instead of sugarcoating). Someone told me today that they just assume I’m not interested because I always seem to “run” but I’m not sure how to bring up problems/feelings otherwise. How do you approach these hard questions?

Employer is trying to force me (disabled using a walker and immunocompromised) to return to work at the office after WFH efficiently (covering 2 roles!) For 2 years. I actually can't even do my job from the office. Office isn't ADA compliant and my walker doesn't fit. Some employees aren't vaxxed and mask mandates are being removed. I've been fighting this order loudly. And now I have to meet with the CEO, HR and my supervisor. Wish I could leave, but I don't have a new job lined up.
