I just quit my first 'void' job (a job that doesn't show up on my resume because I was employed with another job before starting and after quitting because of OE) Happy to leave the toxic place, by far my hardest OE job (and I've had 4 in total) but the pay was nice. Currently in final round interviews to replace it though, so wish me luck!

So this is a second job?

Yes! It’s actually my third OE job. I had two, then quit one for this job. After that I picked up a third OE job. Then I quit this job so I can try to get a different one.

How do you prevent it showing up on background checks?

I’ve never had issues. I just keep my longest running job on my resume when applying for other jobs. I’ve had background checks but no issues (I froze my work history but most BG checks are just for criminal activity so no issues for me). When applying to new jobs I’ll say I did some freelance work so I can bring up necessary skills from OE to get the job.

Hello, currently looking for another role either in FP&A and or operations.. which sites were you applying to?

Mainly LinkedIn but I’ve tried indeed and it’s not too bad, though haven’t ever heard call backs from them.

I’ve done PI work my entire career for over 10 years. I’ve worked in state and federal courts and I’ve traveled around the country doing MDL work and bellwether trials. I’ve had a lot of success making the idiots I’ve worked for wealthy, but I’m still waiting for a moment where I enjoy what I’m doing. I feel stuck working in dysfunctional plaintiff firms/cultures. Hello Guys,

I am in a super good position at Jellyfish as a Director with a good room in terms of growth. Great responsibilities, work life balance and I strongly love my job. However, there is an opportunity to join Google Dublin as an Agency Development Manager (level 4) with strong salary, new challenges, different role and responsibilities etc. I HAVE A STRONG DOUBT about a trade off: is better to have a strong margin of growth and a good position or join Google with the above conditions?

My current role is hybrid with at least two days a week in office. However, with the potential economic downturn, I'm considering holding on to the role to supplement my income.

I'm new to the overemployed movement, so I'm evaluating the feasibility of holding onto the hybrid role and the remote position.
