I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @

When I had to do cold calls, I just dialed and had one generic appointment setting script that I used… once the appointment was set, I would dig a little deeper and make some notes on things that I wanted to accomplish during our 30-45-60 minute appointment…
Sales is a law of averages game… I average $X in revenue per sale -> my close rate is X% -> my appointment rate is Y% -> my touch rate is Z% -> I need to make A number of dials… that’s it… so that’s the activity…
Then just fill in the blanks… I want to make $10K a week at a 50% commission rate, my average sale is $3,000, my close rate is 60%, my touch rate is 8%… that’s 138 dials a week…
Spending an average of 5-8 minutes clicking around and formulating a strategy… not including actual dialing and ring out time… while also running meetings… doing follow-ups… and checking the status of your cases…
TLDR: You’d be spending 11.5h-18.5h/week not making a f***ing call…
