I recently had an interview for a position with Service BC. I knew it would not go well, but I wrote Jane Doe for the opportunity for the interview 3 days later (who was also a part of interview team) . No response. I heard back from a total different organization I did not get the job, I then wrote a thank you email back to Jane Doe and thanked them for their time and expressed my disappointment in not getting the position. No response again.

Hey fishes, I have an offer from a Big4 firm in Dublin for tech consulting in SA1 position. I have been offered 53k as fixed and a bonus of max 7.5% of fixed compensation. I do have a prior experience of about 40 months in Big4.

I wanted to check if the compensation is fair according to pay standards in Ireland?

Terrified of lateraling as a 5th year. I feel like I might know less that what my new firm thinks I know. It’s a great firm and a superlative practice group. I went through 12 partner interviews in 4 rounds and am both excited and scared. 3 weeks until I start. Any tips?

Interviewed for a GS-15 (same agency but different office) and totally aced the interview with excellent answers. They know I’m a top performer with senior references. However I noticed there was an internal candidate who has been there for few years and interviewed that’s a veteran. I feel my chances just sank and want to gauge thoughts.

My partner got a City of Toronto offer. Salary band is 104-121k. HR asked for his expectations and he said 115k. HR came back with a 106k offer stating nobody on the team makes that much so they cant offer it. Also said she is unsure if there is any wiggle room if any at all. I’ve looked at everyone on the team with the same titles salary on the sunshine list and the lowest I see is 121k. I assume there is an OT component of some sort but also can’t confirm. Thoughts? /negotiating advice?

Applying to roles within the same federal agency. I know you need one year within the probationary period, but can I apply to a higher GS level? For example, if I'm GS 9, receive a promotion to GS 11 at the end of probation, would i be able to apply to GS 13 roles if I'm qualified? Tried researching this for hours but only found info on applying to other agencies.
