make. These comments were made by my supervisor and as a result of these comments, I am now reporting directly to my GC and demoted to compliance work. I want to address these comments with my GC. How do I go about discussing these concerns with my GC? I decided not to speak to the supervisor first but I'm afraid she would twist the narrative and make more harmful insinuations.
Is a 3 out of 5 considered bad at your place?
I've worked at placws where that is decent with 4s saved for when ppl are being promoted and 5s for rockstars.
What area of law are you in? Compliance role might be to help you get familiar with the industry.
Are you guys on an open floor plan? If so, camping out in the conference could be perceived as counter to the company's "open door" policy.
There might be bias towards you as a POC. If you are already demoted, the GC should be aware and was part of the decision marking process. You can try explaining to the GC strategically but be prepared it most likely won’t change your situation. I would start looking elsewhere if you have been here for a while and your resume looks good.
