McKinsey & Company Hi everyone. Hope all is well.
Recently took the McKinsey & Company game (not sure if I have an interview yet but preparing nonetheless). It’s an entry level business analyst position and an entry level digital position and was wondering if anyone wanted to case prep with me. I’m willing to work on anyones time zone. (I’m located in Sydney, Australia).

Think so
Not 100% sure, but I think it depends on the type of loan(s) you have. Mine are all in forbearance, but some (not all) are still accruing interest. I have both subsidized and unsubsidized…can’t remember off the top of my head which ones are accruing though.
But like I said, I’m not certain…graduated 5ish years ago but grace period+forbearances had me put my loans on the back burner for quite a bit 😅
I think they continue to bear interest but not 100% sure. I would call now to get ahead of it
I’m having the same issue so I’m curious if you’ve called and they’ve given you a response. I have Aidvantage and the interest is still accruing beyond the payment even though it shouldn’t be per the DoE’s explanation of the SAVE plan
It’s possible that new portion doesn’t start until July ‘24.
What do you mean by “deferred”? The SAVE plan also does have interest but it can’t be more than your payment based on the calculator. So if your max payment is $200 but $600 would have accrued, the amount is capped at the $200. Basically your balance should never go up or down if your payment doesn’t cover the total interest that would have accrued each month.
IDR SAVE defers unpaid interest, not all interest. This means that while your monthly payment may be $0 the interest on your loan continues to accrue.
