Layoff going on in Synechron ?
I'm working in Tata Consultancy for last 9months. I got allocated to Deployment team in Kolkata. I'm a quick learner and it was my mistake to learn everything so quickly. I've been forced to work for 12hrs at least regularly. Also, I've been providing night support daily for production (yes!! Production is happening daily) but I'm not getting any overtime pay. My manager is not responding to my mails regarding my dues. What shall I do?? Will HR help me? I'm demotivated and I want to resign. 😞

As a former consultant and current Slack employee - STAY PUT
How lucrative could a ‘Slack practice’ really be? Have you done that analysis?
A small CPQ implementation is 4x a xtra large Slack implementation… Slack was successful due to the simplicity of the thing. More upside in advisory services around the implementation and integrations…but that’s pretty niche.
You’re in a great place in a job with lots of pluses.. grass isn’t always greener on the other side. If you are a person who bristles at the thought of lots of slide creations and meetings where you feel like you’re revisiting the decisions you made in the last meeting, consulting isn’t for you. Stay closest to the most valuable intellectual property you know. A move to consulting gets you more than a few steps removed.
I wouldn’t go back from tech to consulting if I were you. I’m not even sure what you mean about long term salary upside, consulting only really beats tech at partner level maybe and that’s not even always true. Hours are significantly worse too
If you really like the challenge or opportunity than maybe but I wouldn’t even consider it
How old are you?
Slack practice? Where would Slack integrate for the SIs? That is truly intriguing. Why do you want to leave? What do you not like?
