Deloitte is basically an OCM practice. I think PWC has the best HC Capability of the Big4, though it’s primarily in Strategy&
D2 advanced analytics, integrated operating model, talent strategy, O/D and O/E, workforce transformation (HRT as a subset but not tied directly to any specific tech or tech platform, true strategy and design) primarily.
I have a Big6 background and lots of friends at all of the Big4, not slamming I think Uncle D very capable, just not in the space I define as HRT
I am ex-Deloitte and I think they are the #1 but PwC and KPMG have good strengths in some specific areas as well and I would rate them joint #2. EY might be even better at certain human capital offerings than the other two but their HR Tech offerings are pretty lean.
PwC does a good job of developing industry specific human capital/workforce transformation offerings. That maybe because until recently our workforce transformation folks were part of each industry verticals, so it was highly encouraged to come up with industry specific solutions. At Deloitte industry was always considered a minor for HC practitioners, which most people didn’t take it seriously. KPMG has a strong brand name in Healthcare human capital market. Also they seem to be doing a good job with shared services and service now work.
When it comes to transactions, I think EY is competitive with D. I really don’t hear much about KPMG and PwC in this space.
D’s integration practice is better than EY’s but I think EY’s sell and separate practice is strong.
Personally I have done buy and sell side.
I thought PWC is called P&O?
