I thought Amex doesn't charge a late fee so we can pay our bill after we've been reimbursed?

Sure, just make sure your credit doesn't go to shit.

That doesn't sound correct - you also get your reimbursement on the 7th and your bill is due on the 14th. Not sure why your late.

EY was having delays +3 weeks in spring, so some of us were a couple of weeks late waiting for the reimbursements. Late fee normally isn't until 45 days after your statement.

You should be able to get it waived if you call as well

I would like to hit fire between 40-50. Currently 27, 185k total comp (125 for me and 60 for partner). Like my job don’t hate it don’t love it. Does an MBA make sense? I’m guessing it could take me to 170ish with that schools I’m looking at but wondering if the 40-50 retirement range makes an mba not make sense since I’d only have 10-20 years to save vs 12-22.

Would have to finance the whole thing myself. Current net worth is 140k. Thoughts?

So I’m only contributing to 401k enough to get employer match, and I’m saving an additional ~20% and putting 90% of that into my vanguard mutual funds. Reasoning is that I don’t want to lock away all that money maxing out 401k. Have 3 months expenses liquid in a savings account. Is this really dumb? Essentially trading tax for the option of actually using my money.
