I want to prepare for FAANG companies.My DS algo knowledge is 0.I am repeatedly getting calls from these companies.How to prepare please suggest.What is the best step by step way to prepare? I need some deep compact steps.I watched youtube video and try to solve problems on website like leetcode hackerrank but when I start I see there are 1k problems related to array itself and if I start solving them I wont be able to complete even array in next 3 year. Please suggest some step by step approach.

A colleague told me today that Google separates Product Manager and Product Owner as two separate roles. I believe that one PM role is preferred in the industry and most modern software companies, especially FAANG companies, only have PMs. Just curious what others have experienced and if I'm correct in my assumption.

Is it common to negotiate software engineer salary at smaller companies? I know it’s common at FAANG, but what about for companies with around 200 engineers? I have a counter offer from my current company and on-site interviews scheduled for end of July with google and Amazon, but I’d prefer to go with the smaller local company if I can negotiate the salary (from offer letter) up another 5% or so.

Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? I slightly dropped my MacBook and apparently (slightly) damaged the keyboard and trackpad as per service Center. I don’t see any visible damage to the system but that’s what they say and are charging me about 28k for this even though my system is in warranty period (will complete a year in a few days). Are there any workaround for this? Like I can use external keyboard or maybe negotiate, anything else?

Recently i got an offer letter from xyz company. I have accepted the offer, but when i checked my details in profile, i found out that my pan no is incorrect so i tried to correct that.
While saving, i got to know that a profile already exists in the system with my original pan no.
