I was just subject to an interview process that put me through 4 interviews. These included my direct sup, sales leader, VP Ops and HR lead. Each stated I was right for the job and insinuated an offer was imminent. However, the VP said he needed time to clear up an internal issue. After another week and half, they offered the position to an internal rep and they offered me a chance to interview for a lesser AM position which is over an hr. from my home. What would you do?

I've a question on what sections to put on a regular resume. I see some people are using consulting style resume for outside companies as well. Do you think it's a good idea to devide work experience by projets? Or is it better to have "projects highlights" separate from work experience.. something like: intro>functional expertise> project highlights>work experience>education?

I've had three interviews so far: 1) with the recruiter, 2) with the hiring manager, 3) with the lead of an adjacent division. Currently scheduling “on sites” for a S&O role in CA. My referrer said they can hire as L5 or L6. Would like to land in the L6 bucket as I’ve heard 5 --> 6 is one of the more challenging promotions.

I’m looking for info on what the real difference is in responsibilities (manager vs IC, cross functional vs focused, etc) so I can focus on checking the L6 boxes during my interviews.

I’m also curious about whether this is something that I should just discuss with my recruiter directly?
