I was selected as a UI resource in the internal of project, I was here for 1.4 years , I was working as a shadow UI resource for an application, my manager gave me 2 internal projects to work but none of them got deployed, I also worked as a backup for senior UI developer for 1 month and after that one senior manager said to me to work on an app which is SaaS which has no programing language in it . What will I do for my career? I completed 2 years in CG. I want to work as a UI developer.

I’m trying to pivot to PM after >3 years in finance and I have a 2nd round interview with CPO this week. Company has 3.7 on Glassdoor with complaints about CEO, “bro-y” culture, and hard to wfh. It’s a data analytics company with 5 PMs, was bought by a PE firm this year, and has a new (female) CEO as of Oct. Role is 50/50 hybrid, pays well vs what I make, and most importantly would be a foot in the door to PM. Is this a good place to be for PM? What else do I need to find out to know for sure?

Thinking of switching to marketing at a non profit or university comms role. Any skills I need to get under@my belt before starting to apply or do you think there’s enough overlap to just learn on the job (quietly) thank you :)

Been welding for my company for 13+ yrs and I think it’s time for a change. The culture has completely changed and became toxic. I need your views and suggestions. I have two doubts:
1. Is it fair to leave an organisation (big brand) after a year as the environment is real toxic and there’s no career growth as well in terms of good work.
2. If I have to make a switch do I really have to target big brands only or can try for medium and small size companies too.

My manager basically gave me an unlimited budget to get whatever certifications I want. My career profile is similar to a Solution Architect- what should I get? Need some suggestions: My current company is on a layoff spree and 2 rounds are already done and I can foresee another round coming very soon.

While I am trying to switch to other companies, I’m not able to reveal the real reason from my side for the job change, as if I say, it’s because of layoff fears than it’ll reduce my negotiation power.

What other reasons can I give as I’ve just completed 9 months here and it’s too soon for any other company to take me in.

Are BAs comparatively safer than Dev’s when it comes to layoffs?
