I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

As long as the listed job posting doesn't sound extremely toxic, I'll always go for the money. Liking who you're working with and what you're doing is great and all, but it doesn't pay the bills.
It's good to work with a team you like, and to have a job you're comfortable in. But you shouldn't get too attached to the team. Those arrangements are temporary, and other people will move on if they see an opportunity they want to pursue. So if you see a position you think you could land, go for it. It can be a little scary to move on from the comfortable, but it's good for you.
