I put in the work my dawg, and never worked those hours. Current slaying the game with absurd comp and less than 40 hrs a week. You must be smart to get that job at LEK, so use those talents in better places fam!
The number of people in this thread trying to convince us the boots are delicious is wild.
The restroom break perk is my favorite. I never knew I could hold it so long! Thanking my consultant for this insight and training my body to retain it, unless I’ve earned it.

Monday to Wednesday we tend to work on the later side (11 pm / 12am / 1am - expected for strategy consulting), Thursdays OBS (out by six) and Fridays 3pm during the summers. Obviously, these perks might not be achieved every week, but you can't say we don't try to prioritize so-called Work-Life Balance. As for HR trying to spread "propaganda," this is also totally unsubstantiated and, to be frank, has no basis in reality.
I'm willing to bet most of the negative posts are from a handful of disgruntled employees.
Not saying 3am doesn't happen, but it's not frequent (or as frequent as you might be led to believe).
As with everything you read on the internet, you should take it with a grain of salt and talk to people who actually work at L.E.K.
Feel like this is a joke, but I actually agree. Been at LEK a few years now, and it's not bad. Usually finish around 11 or 12 Monday to Wednesday, OBS Thursday at least 70% of the time, and very reasonable Fridays. Plus, you can talk to your team. I know people with kids who block off 6 to 8 nightly.

A couple years out but had the same experience. At times I was miserable w/ 14/15 hour days but my friends at MBB and in IB were going through the same. Had a Corp Strategy offer, a Corp Dev offer, and a PE offer as exit opps, worked out pretty well for me 🤷♂️
