This isn't actually that controversial of a perspective, I've been saying this for a while. OP what about this made you post it here?

Trying to see what opinions actually hold out there. I mainly have a more aggressive and diversified portfolio. I mean why invest if I can't maximize profit? Although some form of diversification can only be done with technical "know how", so I won't advise my strategy for a beginner.
I personally don't see hedging doing that great even till the end of the first quarter of next year unless you're applying some drastic strategy and diversification in your hedging technique.

I don't think this is insanely out of left field or something...but am curious whether people are actually following these kinds of strategies, because most people are going for the long term gains really

Going through a closeout. 50-50 profit share allocation, but my business partner has been using the venture money at their personal piggy bank (hence the breakup). My accountants say because we agreed to 50-50 shares, the leftover money has to be divided equally.

What are potential exit opportunities in commercial banking? Are the skills transferable to other roles in finance?

My experience is split between FP&A and accounting and while I have progressed, I am becoming depressed b/c I feel like I’m in the wrong field. Been with my current company 5 years now. I run my own team but have a micromanaging boss who likes to create chaos for me. Edward Jones advisor with 30 million AUM and roughly 250k gross production. Been there for almost 4 years. Got an offer at Merrill Lynch to take over a 100 million dollar retirement transition plan in 5 years, or to join a 5 person Merrill Lynch team that manages a lot.

Pros to EJ: Have my own office, a year or two away from partnership, great office setting and client satisfaction.

Pros to Merrill: Bump in compensation, additional tools and services w banking, ability to take over assets.
